George labeled "Chomik just before her illness" There is a Feb 1940 photo of Niusia and George said she was "already ill". I googled the hotel and found: "Hotel Robert Fulton 228 West 71st Street New York City NY postcard 1930s" From the post card it is clear that is the hotel. Niusa is not dressed for winter in NY and so I will date this as Oct 1939. Note that for some reason she has her right arm through the open window while holding on to what looks like purse straps.... |
