The next several pages of photos are from this vacation. Shavertown NY no longer exists. About 1952 the area was flooded to make the Pepacton Reservoir. It is near Downsville NY about 120 miles NW of NY. Google has no info on this homestead. However there is a later photo of Perch Lake. Perch Lake still exists and was not flooded. There is in 2018 a Jewish Youth Overnight camp (Camp L'Man Achai) George and Shirley summer 1939. |
