No info. However, the winter of 68 -69 was record breaking in the Midwest. One report that covered the entire area gives dates for 8 separate blizzards. The dates are Dec 10, 1968, Jan 5, 1969, Jan 7, Jan 14, Jan 26, Feb 14, Feb 19, Feb 25. Most, but maybe not all hit Alexandria. I believe that most of the heavy snow photos were taken in Feb and have dated them that way, although some of the early ones could easily have been in Jan. Assume this is early Feb 1969. |
