1968-1
"Jerry's Corvair Monza Spring - 1968" I don't think that is Jerry in the photo. The photos from 1968 through summer 1969 were often out of order in the ZL13 album. I have studied the processing dates on the photo borders, and I have come to the following conclusions. First, Mom and Dad took very few photos in 1968 (even though there were two family weddings!) Second, there were two family cameras involved. There are two cases when a B & W photo and a color photo were taken of same scene. The cameras each had 2 to 3 rolls of film and the sequence was as follows. Camera 1 took 6 B&W photos from March 1968 to February 1969 and the roll was processed Feb 69. It was then loaded with another roll of B&W. That roll had 5 photos taken between February 1969 and Summer of 1969. It was deloped Sept 69. Furthermore, I believe this was "Dad's" camera as it was used to take one photo of Mom and also several car photos without people. Camera 2 took 3 color photos all taken about February 1969 and processed Feb 69. It was reloaded with another roll of color film. That roll was used up in February 1969 with 4 photos processed in July 69. Camera 2 was then reloaded with B&W film that took 7 photos between February 1969 and Summer of 1969. It was processed Aug 69. Camera 2 was probably "Mom's" camera as it was used to take 3 photos of Dad. (Although it also took one photo of Mom) Also, some of the photos were sort of "Arty" (Icicles etc) The type of photo Mom would take. Not to mention that they used color film... So why so few photos on each roll? As in other years Mom often shared photos with friends and relatives, so these are just the prints she kept. So why did I try to figure this all out? It helped get the sequencing of photos correct. Thus even though this photo was processed in Feb 69, I believe Dad was correct in saying Spring - 1968. Assume March 1968. |
