"Don & Centennial Beard for Carleton Midwinter Festival Spring 1964 1103 Hawthorne" Carleton was founded 1866 so it was not its centennial. I think Mom was just thinking back to the Minn Centennial beards in 1958. Spring Break so probably March 1964

"Don and beard for Carleton Midwinter Festival Spring 1964" Note the black dot on the tshirt. The tshirts were provided by the Carleton Athletic Dept. You were supposed to just wear them when you were involved in sports (wrestling in my case) The spots were deliberately put on by the athletic department to discourage athletes from stealling them for regular use. However, the dots became sort of a status symbol and you would see them all over campus! March 1964

"Carleton Campus near Goodhue Dorm Sept 1964" 089D stamped on back Don was starting senior year, and was not living at Goodhue so strange that these pictures were taken, although I lived there the previous two years. Mikki was just starting at St Olaf, so possibly Mom and Dad had just dropped her off (I usually hitchhiked back and forth) and came to visit me (OR maybe I wasn't even there yet!) and we were just walking around campus. OR if Jerry was along (see Crystal Cave photo) they were showing Jerry around. I also tried to see if this was a 1963 photo but the processing stamp of 089D is also on photos Mom labeled winter 64 -65. Hence So assume Mom correct with Sept 1964.
