Mom wrote on back "April 1949" "22" Don, Mikki, Ken Rolls taken in 1949: "22" were April -June. "A17" photos were taken June 22 - July 30. "72" covers 8/19 and 8/21 and may be from a Fran camera. "960" was 8/21 - Nov and also seems to have a reprint from Sept 1948. (Grandpa and kids which was taken as a 1948 "11" photo, but had a reprint stamped "960")

The tall brunette girl in front holding something rolled up in her left hand and some letter in her right hand is just to my right in front of me. The girl next to that girl holding the rolled up item in both hands (and just to my left in front of me) looks like Susan Bundy. The photo is outside the basement ( I think west side, our door into basement is on right of photo) of the Alexandria Carnigie Library where I had kindergartin. June 2, 1949

An older brother of his was killed in the Korean War a couple of years later. James was also a good friend. He was maybe 3 years older and lived on the NE corner of 12th and Broadway. Note the white cat. The order of the four in back is correct even though the order of the Ljungsters is backwards.

Dad labels "New Year's Eve Interlachen Inn Mux Kay Ag Agnes, ?, Carl Irene Al" I add that Mux and Kay are married friends of Mom and Dad, likewise Ag and Carl are Carl and Aggie Johnson, It is worth noting that about 10 years earlier Irene and Mux dated (see her diary) Another interpretaion is that Dad is wrong and Anna not Agnes is at end of table. Then Gilman would be next to her. I think it looks more like Anna. Also this is a local New Year's eve party and Anna and Gilman are more likely to be there. My guess is this is Dec 31, 1949.

Helen Forsgren Kelly is a daughter of Anna (born 1904). Emil and Anna are old couple in center of photo. I don't see Helen (maybe to left of Emil?) so I guess the 8 others are all Helen's children.
