One of 6 photos from several cameras but all are from some picnic. A loose duplicate of this photo "E16" has Mom writing on back "Allen, Irene, Carl, Doug Spring 1939 (crossed out and replaced with '42) "42 crossed out and 11939 again written) Dup" Dad wrote "Hang'in out" I haven't really settled on when these photos were taken. 1939 seems a little early - that was just before Irene's California trip. For now go with spring 1940. Allen and Irene, Doug lying on Irene's leg, Carl resting on Doug.
