Dad "Agnes Edmond Anna Enoch Helen" Edmond is Edmond Peterson from a blurry photo label that I discarded. So three Johnson girls and boyfriends?? Assume 1940.

From photo this is "Sarah Hendrickson's 94th Birthday Apr 25 1940" Sarah is a sister of Britta. See next photo (ZL99 365) for Mom's identification of persons. In particular, Britta Olson is old woman in black coat in front just to right of children. Sarah is old woman sort of in center in grey sweater just behind kids. Jennie Johnson is woman in top row 2nd from left. Clara Ljung (Emery's wife) is 1st on right top row.

Dad labeled "Old barn at 1103" This is one of the first photos of the 1929 Model A! Note sawhorses and saw and person kneeling so work is going on at 1103. The Model A does not have a license plate in the front like Zl4 320 has. Earlier photos of other cars show front license plates (although one doesn't) so it seems Minnesota did expect them. So this could be 1939 - shortly after it was purchased and perhaps before Dad had a new license plate. However, Dad in his family history states 1103 purchased in 1940 - 1941 time frame (although dates not totally set in stone) So this could be 1940? I am going with spring 1940

Dad labeled "Junette Strandberg - Hale" for this photo and ZL4 136 Assume 1940

1940-8

Stamped "458". No other information. From looking at this photo and the next three, I am pretty certain this is Britta Ersdotter Olson with Alice Joy Weinthaler. Yes, note that ZL5 086 is taken the same time. Britta is Emma's mother and Fran is only distantly related to Britta, but she would have been around in Fran's life. Hence this is spring 1940 (Alice Joy born Jan 5, 1940)

Stamped "458". No other information. Part of the family gathering to welcome Alice Joy into family. See also ZL5 085 taken same day. I can't positively identify all the Lund children, but I am reasonably confident that standing left to right are; Vernon, Evie, Marjorie, Eleanore, Jo, Ardyce, Irene, Harold. Seated l to r: Zana, Alice, Roger, Britta holding Alice Joy, Chuck, Fran. Spring 1940.

Stamped "458". No other information. Again part of Fran's visit. Alice with Roger and Fran with Alice Joy. Spring 1940.

Stamped "458". No other information. Probably taken during Fran's visit with baby Alice Joy. Here we have all 7 of the A.C. Hanson children! However they don't look very excited. Standing; Vernon, Doug, Howard, Harold. Seated; Fran, Alice, Irene. Assume spring 1940

1940-12

Mom wrote on back "October 1940 Dup" "458" A slightly different pose. I think Mom is incorrect saying Oct. I still think this is when Fran came out in spring 1940.

Yet another photo with "147" stamp, so summer 1940. Dad labeled ""Mux" Doug" back two and "How, Ag, Carl, ?, Anna, Allen" Mom wrote on back "Remember this one? About 2 hears huh" Maybe Mom was talking to Carl about the girl nex to him - maybe a 2 year flame? Mux is a friend - later married some Kay.

Dad wrote on photo "John Strandberg family" plus he labeled it Elvy Axman's Cousins" John Strandberg and Olaf Standberg are children of Britta Person. Britta is a sister of John Ljung who stayed in Sweden. Olaf is the father of Elvy Strandberg Axman. Note these Strandbergs are not related to Lena Strandberg. Compare to ZL4 105. Guess 1940.

Dad wrote on back "Probably Strandbergs MPLS" He is correct, John Strandberg is a grandson of Jon Persson His sons are Kenneth, Clarence, ?. Order unknown. Taken same day as ZL4 102. Assume 1940.

Goes with April, 1940 photo. Irene in Chicago. In 2016 when I was looking at this album with Dad, he commented that the man was "some "heavyweight" who was interested in Irene"

No info, but photo has same black border as previous two photos dated 7/4/1937. I think this is the "Heavy weight" that is also in ZL5 201. An April 1940 picture. Thus, despite the black border (was that added by Irene ?), I am putting this in April 1940. Dad said the heavyweight was interested in Mom.

Stamped "147" aalong with 3 others. No other information. Clearly they show Irene as bridesmaid in some wedding. I am guessing it is the wedding of a friend as the only family wedding in 1940 is Winfred Anderson and Lorrayne Erickson (May 1940). But that wedding is on Dad's side so no reason for Irene to be there. I believe he is Roger Lund. Guess May 1940.

Yet another "147" photo. Appears to go with the assumed May 1940 wedding photos. Mom wrote onback "Arn't we cute?" Dad labeled "Roger Lund?" Since Mom is with the kid I assume he is Roger Lund (he would be 17 months old in May 1940 - looks about right)

One of 6 photos from several cameras but all are from some picnic. A loose duplicate of this photo "E16" has Mom writing on back "Allen, Irene, Carl, Doug Spring 1939 (crossed out and replaced with '42) "42 crossed out and 11939 again written) Dup" Dad wrote "Hang'in out" I haven't really settled on when these photos were taken. 1939 seems a little early - that was just before Irene's California trip. For now go with spring 1940. Allen and Irene, Doug lying on Irene's leg, Carl resting on Doug.

Scan of photo. Dad wrote on back "P. O. Johnson Family Back row - L to R Lorraine, Anna, Helen, Carl Arnold, Agnes, Margaret Front Row Peter O. Audrey & Jenny" No date info on Olson Photography in Minn List. Audrey was born in 1932 and she looks about 8 and so I am guessing this is about 1940.

Start of a series of 5 photos. These are clearly Allen photos put sort of randomly into a Hanson album in 1943 by Irene. She was not good about chronology. I suppose they could be 1939 to 1941. I am going to put all of them (plus 10 other ZL5 275 on) into 1940. Allen in summer 1940
