I don't see Fran or Alice (Irene probably took photo) The five children in front are from left to right Marjorie, Charles, Eleanore, Zana, Ardyce (all Alice and BIll children) 1935

No info 0n this strip, but single photos from this strip say 1935. Mom wrote on back of a single of 4th from left "1935" Mom wrote on back of single of 2nd from left "IMH '36" However Mom mistakenly identified other 1935 HS photos as 1936 so I believe 1935 is correct. Mom had individual copies of 1 - 4 from left. (Now tossd) Colorized versions of 1 and 2. The colorized versions were not in any album and individuals were in ZL5 and 3.

These 3 photos have 12 photos of women in Irene's 1935 senior class. Mom labeled all of them on front with the name and all of them on the back say April 1936. I am virtually certain they were all April 1935 as they were senior pictures. Note in particular Ellen Nelson Eilers. So Mom labeled these photos after Ellen got married in 1946 which could excuse Mom's mistake.

On back "Ellen Nelson June 1936" However, Ellen was in Mom's 1935 class (see Alexian). Also, for some unknown reason Mom labeled lots of Class of 1935 photos as 1936. I am assuming they really are 1935. Note same shrub in background as ZL5 032

"Arloa Ridder will be 13 the 28th of Oct 1935" Harold Ridder is husband of Lydia (one of Britta's children). Arloa is their child. Thus she is a cousin of Irene. Ellen and Don think she looks like Mom Also I now think Arloa is really spelled Arlou.

Irene wrote "Irene's aunt Fran?" Then on 6/30/84 a H G Hanson told someone who wrote "Grandma Peter Olson's daughter Lydia (Mrs Harold Ridder) and daughter Arloa and son Harold" Grandma Peter Olson is Britta. The photo appears to be in California and clearly Mom didn't know them well. Don guesses same year 1935 as other photo of Arloa

Dad labeled "John Strandberg - Late immigrant from Sweden to Mpls - St Paul - John was brother of Elvay Axman's father in Sweden". Dad also wrote the "John Strandberg family" on photo. John Strandberg and Olaf Standberg are children of Britta Person. Britta is a sister of John Ljung who stayed in Sweden. Olaf is the father of Elvy Strandberg Axman. Note these Strandbergs are not related to Lena Strandberg. Compare to ZL4 102 in 1940 photos. However note this photo has two boys and an "extra" adult female. The 102 photo has 3 boys. Also note family tree originally had just two boys. Guess 1935

Dad labeled "Loading up Gahlon's Model "T" Ford Truck to go to Inspiration Peak" I don't recognize most of these people. However, I am pretty certain the teenager just behind the cab of the truck (with legs hanging over railing) is Carl Johnson. Then just left of him standing in the bed with a hat and glasses is Allen Ljung. Going left along the railing from Allen is Jennie,Audrey Johnson, P.O. Johnson, Albin Ljung and finally Charlie Gahlon is far left. Helen Johnson is female in back with hat (above and left of Carl's head). See also next 2 photos ZL4 254 and 255 as well as 258. Audrey was born Sept 12, 1932 and she looks about 3 so assume summer 1935.

Dad labeled "Ida Ljung Charlie Gahlon and Jennie Johnson - P.O. Johnsons and Ljungs drove to Millerville to visit with Gahlons Gahlon's lived on farm noth of Millerville Mill" Inspiration Peak is also north of Millerville and so I am pretty sure this photo, the previous one and the next two are all the same trip. This photo is from the top of Inspiration peak. Note Jennie and Charlie can be identified in previous photo by clothes. In the 1930 census the Charlie Gahlon family lived just a few farms away from the Albin Ljung's. My guess is that is how they know them. I assume they may also have lost their farm (they owned it) and then moved to Millerville. Assume summer 1935.
