This is the first scanned photo of Allen's Album 2. The album starts with 1977 - 1979. That is followed by what is called "Old B*W Pix" Not clear where the pictures came from. The backs often have black paper and they have been ripped out ot some previous album. Many are not labeled by Dad. My guess is they are from some Hanson album since Dad doesn't know much about them. Given that these are from some Hanson album, Don's pretty certain that this The AC family. If so, from left to right; Fran, Emma, baby Doug, Irene, Howard, AC. Doug was born Sept 1921 so assume summer 1922.

Scan of photo in frame. There are two cropped version of this photo that are also in frames. On back of first cropped photo Don wrote "Allen Ljung & Dog Jiggs" Note sweater is same as in ZL4 108. I kept second cropped version but I have deleted scan of first cropped version as the uncropped is at least as shrarp (it is a 1938 reprint of photo) Looks like 1922.

Dad labeled "Pup "Jiggs" grew up with Al for next 14 years" Clearly this photo and ZL4 107 are the same time. This means Jiggs is the son of Ringa. 1922.

Dad labeled "Helen Schelin and other Schelins and Sherlins" Helen is probably the older girl. She is daughter of Annie Sherlin Schelin. Annie is sister of Ida. Probably photo includes some of her younger siblings as well as some Sherlin cousins. Assume Dad has timeframe correct of 1921 - 1923. Use 1922 (Helen would be 17 years old)

Dad labeled "Built by A.C. Hanson" Swedish Lutheran Church Garfield, Minn.
The building still exists:
"288St. Luke’s Lutheran Church – LCMC
(Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ)
201 East Ida Street (PO Box 35)
Garfield, MN 56332
320-834-2285
Clergy: David L. Gran, Pastor
Sue J. Davidson, Associate Pastor
David Wallin, Visitation Pastor
Worship services: 8:30 & 11am Sundays
Holy Communion, second and last Sundays of the month
Bible Classes: 9:45am Sundays (3 years old though grade 12) September – May
Adult Bible Class: 9:45 am, 6:30pm
Coffee & Fellowship between services
Organized in 1869 by Swedish immigrants north of Garfield, then known as the Lake Ida congregation. A new church with a tall steeple was built in 1879 and burned to the ground Christmas Day, 1921. The congregation relocated to Garfield in 1922, on land donated by the Salstead family. The name was changed to St. Luke’s in 1949. St Luke’s is a mother congregation to Calvary Lutheran in Alexandria. The present 1922 building was added on to in 2007 and in 2013 to meet the needs of a growing congregation." So it was built in 1922.
