Album: 1910 Al Ljung Album

     Album:Family/Historical photos.:Gramps Allen:1910 Decade:1910 Al Ljung Album
1910-1
( comments) Ida wrote on back "McCallister College Bunch, Bill Haberer front R" Dad added that the McCallister Business College was in Alex and that Ida attended. Don guesses 1910. I don't think Ida is in photo. See also photo Album1 006 which might be woman on right in second row. This photo is on a page titled by Allen as "Friends of Ida or Albin Ljung.
1910-2
( comments) Back of unsent postcard has "Ruben Duneer "flame", Tilquist, guitar player" Allen translated flame to girl friend. Our family tree has a Blanda Duneer married to Gustav Sherlin. Don's guess is Ruben and Blnda are siblings. Guess 1910. This photo is on a page titled by Allen as "Friends of Ida or Albin Ljung.
1910-3
( comments) Allen wrote Ida Sherlin on right and guessed that Aurora Herbert is on left. Don agrees. Maybe 1910 This photo is on a page titled by Allen as "Friends of Ida or Albin Ljung.
1910-4
( comments) Dad wrote on back "Right - Ida Sherlin Ljung" Looks like Aurora Herbert on left. Notice that Ida has same necklace as in Album 1 017. Assume 1910
1910-5
( comments) Dad wrote on back "Aurora Herbert - Mrs Gordon Melby Ida Sherlin" Later he added "? Don't think so" (referring to Whether it is Ida) Don doesn't think it is Ida. In fact, I don't think it is Aurora either! Put in 1910
1910-6
( comments) Unsent card for Miss Ida Shelin (sic) from Olga. Olga lists out of order names on back saying "I guess you know them all. Don't you?" Allen ordered the names as follows: Albert Carlson & Walter Carlson left, Selmer Wooliscroft center and Olson boys right. Don knows nothing of them (not in family tree etc) Guess 1910. This photo is on a page titled by Allen as "Friends of Ida or Albin Ljung.
1910-7
( comments) Back of unsent postcard has "Yours Truly, Jean Peterson" to "Ida Sherlin" If she is Ida's age she looks 20 and so this is about 1910. This photo on a page of photos Dad labeled "Friends of Ida or Albin Ljung" Don knows nothing else about this person
1910-8
( comments) This is an unmailed (or with stamp taken off for a stamp collection?) postcard. The back says "Best Wishes from Nettie A. The address is "Mr Albin Ljung, Alexandria, Minn, R6" Maybe 1910? This photo is on a page titled by Allen as "Friends of Ida or Albin Ljung.
1910-9
( comments) See back of this postcard photo and a letter to Mom and Dad about this photo in next few photos. This is June 30, 1910. It is basically a family picture of Britta and Per Olson Includes lots of their children
1910-10
( comments) Ed is Olaf Edward Olson son of Per and Britta
1910-11
( comments) Letter from Alice Lund about photo
1910-12
( comments) Back of Alice's letter. The people in the photo according to Clara Olson daughter of Per and Britta. Note that Aunt Sarah and Aunt Martinia are sisters of Britta. Note this Mathilda (daughter of Per and Britta) is not the mother of Alice. However, Aunt (to Clara) Martina is also Grandma to Alice and is the mother of Alice's mother Mathilda. AC Hanson's two wives were cousins. I believe Alvina is Hilda Evelina a sister to Emma.
1910-13
( comments) On back of this postcard photo "Back seat off side - Ida Sherlin" Ida is 3rd from left in back seat. I don't rcognize others (Maybe Olga Carlson passenger in front) This looks like a 1910 Ford Model T, so guess 1910.
1910-14
( comments) Dad's label "Ida Sherlin Ljung Olga Hanson" He has an arrow up to Ida on left, and an arrow pointing to Olga on right. I think Olga Hanson is Elon Hanson's wife. Woman in center is unknown. I am guessing about 1910
1910-15
( comments) On postcard back "George Sherlin Alfred Peterson" Presumeably George is on left, but not specifically stated. Also Dad says George is Ida's bro. George was born in 1888. Assume this is 1910 Alfred Peterson is not in our family tree.
1910-16
( comments) Dad labeled "Right - Albin Ljung" No other info. Guess 1910
1910-17
( comments) No info. I guess 1910.
1910-18
( comments) No info. This is shiny metalic photo. I guess 1910.
1910-19
( comments) Dad Labeled "Left - Probably George Sherlin" Also shiny metalic photo. I guess 1910.
1910-20
( comments) Dad labeled "Florence "L.E." Olson Edith Johnson" He also ntes that Florence is Mrs. Oscar Johnson. See also back of this postcard photo in next photo. None of these persons in family tree. Guess 1910.
1910-21
( comments) Back of pervious photo. Assume 1910. Note the postcard was addressed to Albin when he is living with his Grandfather Severson. Note also Ida ? writes that Edith and Florence worked in the Lee Ling Laundry. Also note Florence wants to see Albin and signs off "Love from Flossie"
1910-22
( comments) Dad labeled "Left - Ida Sherlin" This is a postcard photo (but nothing on back) Assume 1910
1910-23
( comments) Ida ? wrote on back. See next photo. There is no Fred Nelson in family tree. Assume 1910
1910-24
( comments) On back of previous photo. Assume 1910
1910-25
( comments) Ida wrote on back of this postcard photo "Ida and Johnson girl from next door." Ida is on left. Looks like east side of Sherlin home. Assume 1910.
1910-26
( comments) On back of photo postcard. "Ida Sherlin in Glenwood. Ida and Hattie Holm had a dress shop in Glenwood" Assume 1910
1910-27
( comments) On back of post card photo "Ida Sherlin" Assume 1910
1910-28
( comments) Ida ? wrote on back of post card photo "Olga H. and Albin somewhere" From other photos, Olga Carlson was wife of Elon Hanson. Assume 1910.
1910-29
( comments) Dad wrote onback "Reuben Duneer's horse "King" Geo Sherlin and Pete Peterson or high pockets sometimes called" Pete is also called S.P.O. Peterson. He married Hilda Sherlin, a sister of Ida and George. Looks like 1910.
1910-30
( comments) Dad labels this post card photo "George Sherlin - Ida's Bro." Assume 1910 for now
1910-31
( comments) Dad wrote on back "Geo Sherlin Charlie Neller" George on left is Ida's brother. Charlie must just be a friend. Put in 1910.
1910-32
( comments) Dad wrote on back "Eskil Sherlin & first wife - Skoglund Girl" Eskil is a brother of Ida's and Julia Skoglund his wife. Put in 1910
1910-33
( comments) Ida wrote on back of post card photo "Ida - Hattie Holm and Olga Carlson" Note from an earlier photo that Ida and Hattie had a dress shop in Glenwood. Despite Ida's ordering of names I think Olga is in the middle. Compare with ZL4 031. Assume 1910
1910-34
( comments) On back of post card photo apparently left to right "Victor Skoglund Tillie Skoglund Ida Sherlin Elmer Larson" Elmer is Ida's cousin as Ida's mother (Beda Marie) and Elmer's father Gustav Larson are brother and sister. Elmer is also the father of Evie and Elmera. Ida's brother Axel married Julia Skoglund so the Skoglund's must have been friends with the Sherlin's. Assume 1910 for now.
1910-35
( comments) Ida wrote on back of this post card photo "Jean Peterson, Ida Sherlin" Dad labeled photo indicating Jean as first on left and Ida as the second from left. No info on two women on right. Jean Peterson is not in family tree. 1910 for now.
1910-36
( comments) Dad labeled this post card photo "Mother and Father of Elmer, Victor and Albert Larson" From the family tree the father is Gustav Larson. Mother is unknown. He is brother of Beda Marie Larson. Assume about 1910.
1910-37
( comments) Ida wrote on back of this postcard photo. "Ida and Elmer Larson" Elmer is a cousin of Ida's. A duplicate of this photo is in album ZL4 (now discarded) Assume 1910.
1910-38
( comments) Dad labeled this shiny metalic photo "Albin Ljung" 1910 for now
1910-39
( comments) Dad labeled "Robert Swenson Olaf Johnson Albin Ljung" Nothing on back of this post card photo. Robert and Olaf not in family tree. Unless if Olaf is Peter Olaf (P.O.) Johnson. Either way these two are probably friends of Albin's. See also ZL4 042 taken same day. Assume 1910.
1910-40
( comments) Ida wrote on back of post card photo "Olaf Johnson Albin Ljung Robert Swenson" Clearly taken same day as ZL4 039. Assume 1910.
1910-41
( comments) Ida wrote on back of post card photo "Olaf Johnson" See also ZL4 039 and 40. 1910 for now
1910-42
( comments) Ida wrote on back of post card photo "Soderstrom's threshing rig" No Soderstrom's in family tree. I don't recognize anyone. 1910 for now See also next photo
1910-43
( comments) Dad's label and Ida's writing on back of post card photo identify Algert Larson as single man in back. Standing just below him is his brother Elmer Larson. "Carl Eastlund right of Elmer" My guess is right next to Elmer, not the one slightly behind. Finally "Louie Lund on right end Father of Freddie Lund" Appears to be taken same day as previous photo. Actually looking at clothing the two photos do not match. Also rigs slightly different - so not same day! So Eastlund not in family tree. "Fearless" Freddie Lund (1897 - 1931) was a stunt pilot (World Aerobatic Champion 1930) His father lived 1866 - 1943. Assume photo in 1910
1910-44
( comments) Ida wrote on back of post card photo "Arthur Soderstrom Emil Larson August Soderstrom" None are in family tree. I assume Soderstroms are same family with threshing rig. Assume 1910.
1910-45
( comments) Ida wrote on back of post card photo "Emery Ljung L. Albin Ljung R." See also ZL4 050 taken at same time. Assume 1910 for now.
1910-46
( comments) Ida wrote on back "Elmer Bolin, Albin Ljung, Emery Ljung" Dad labeled the male on left as Sam Bolin. I say Albin is standing and Emery is seated right. My guess is 1910 I have no information on either Elmer or Sam Bolin. Elmer Bolin is not in family tree. This photo appears to be taken same time as ZL4 046. Also a black and white copy of this photo was ZL4 050 (now deleted).
1910-47
( comments) I have seen this photo elsewhere so this is a placeholder until I find it.
1910-48
( comments) No info. I don't recognize anyone. Probably same day as next photo. 1910
1910-49
( comments) No info. I don't recognize him. Prossibly goes with previous photo (Although note this photo has the black diagonal corners and other doesn't. But both are same small size Assume 1910 for now
1910-50
( comments) Someone has written on back "Simon Olsons hus N.D." See ZL99 225. There is no Simon Olson in family tree. The only thing I can think of is that in 1910 Olaf Edward Olson got married to Ella Nelson in North Dakota so she must be from there. Perhaps this farm is in her family somehow. Put in 1910.
1910-51
( comments) Back of ZL99 224 Put in 1910
1910-52
( comments) No info. However the photo is mounted very similarly to the 1910 photo of a ND farm. On the other hand this doesn't look like ND. Put in 1910 for now.
1910-53

1910-61

1910-62
