Album: 1905 Al Ljung Album

     Album:Family/Historical photos.:Gramps Allen:1900 Decade:1905 Al Ljung Album
1905-1
( comments) Back of unsent US postcard has in Ida's handwriting? "Skoglands bro & sis, Eskil Sherlins first wife" Thus the female is Julia Skogland. She is the mother of Marion Brundell. The two males must be Julia's brothers. Julia is Ida's sister in law. This could be around 1905. This photo is on a page titled by Allen as "Friends of Ida or Albin Ljung.
1905-2
( comments) Ida's comments on Skogland photo 1905 This photo is on a page titled by Allen as "Friends of Ida or Albin Ljung.
1905-3
( comments) Dad wrote on back "Eskil Sherlin - left Residence in Glenwood - Engineer Soo Line RR Skoglund?" Eskil is Ida's older brother. He married a Skoglund. If you look at photo Album 1 004 of Skoglunds the man on right looks like the brother on right in that photo. Looks like 1905
1905-4
( comments) No info except Lindquist If you google Lindquist Photography you get "Lindquist, Albert V. Gender: Male Locations: Address: 102 1/2 Main Street South, Alexandria, Minnesota Dates of operation: 1894-1912 Decades Worked in Minnesota: 1890s; 1900s; 1910s Notes: Combined business: photography and taxidermy" Dad wrote on back "L to Right Bill Eastlund, Engelbert Kallstrom, Carlquist" None of these people are in our family tree. Guess 1905.
1905-5
( comments) No info on back of this postcard photo. Could be a wedding. I don't recognize anyone. Was in with a bunch of photos mostly about Ida and her family. Guess 1905
1905-6
( comments) No info except "Larson, Anton Also Known As: Larson, A. Gender: Male Locations: Address: 313 Washington Avenue South, Minneapolis, Minnesota Dates of operation: 1882-1905 Address: 301 Washington Avenue South, Minneapolis, Minnesota Dates of operation: 1893 Address: 307 Washington Avenue South, Minneapolis, Minnesota Dates of operation: 1884-1885 Decades Worked in Minnesota: 1870s; 1880s; 1890s; 1900s" Thus photo is from 1882 - 1905. This is Pete Mattson Missionary to China. See also ZL7 009 and 022. Assume 1905
1905-7
( comments) Dad labeled "Left back - Ida Sherlin" No other info. Ida had 5 siblings, but this is not likely them. Ida's two sisers are both older than her. I guess 1905 (partly because Dad labels this album as starting in 1905. Ida was born 1890 so she is 15 here then. This photo has a shiny almost metalic surface (as do some others on this page)
1905-8
( comments) The next 13 old photos were labeled by Dad "These and pictures on next few pages developed in 1972 from glass plate negatives taken by Ida C. Sherlin (Mrs. Albin Ljung) 1905 - 1910" Note they all have black border. I am putting them all in 1905. See next photos for modern photos of this house.
1905-9

1905-25
( comments) Don took photos of album of postcard photos of A.C. Hanson houses that were at 2010 Hanson Reunion. (Maybe Janet had album?) 1905
1905-26
( comments) Written on back "Ragna Hanson" Ragna is a sister of A.C. Hanson. She was born in 1883. Photographer "Dorge, Elias G. E. Locations: Address: 1819 Riverside Avenue, Minneapolis, Minnesota Dates of operation: 1891-1914 Decades Worked in Minnesota: 1890s; 1900s; 1910s" Ragna has wedding ring on hand and Ragna was married in 1905. I am guessing this was around marriage. Guess 1905 when she was 22.
1905-27
( comments) Back of unsent post card has "Aurora Herbert - left, Josephine Sellker" Probably friends of Ida. Don guesses 1905 as Aurora looks younger than a 1910 photo. This photo is on a page titled by Allen as "Friends of Ida or Albin Ljung.
