ZL5-1
( comments) Cover of ZL5. This album is clearly a Hanson album. Or maybe more specifically a Irene Hanson album. It starts about in 1921 and ends about 1943. However pictures of Irene start in 1932. I believe the album was pretty much put together by Irene in June and July 1943. Scattered throughout the album are photos stamped on back "Jun 9, 1943" up through early July 1943. They are all reprints of earlier photos. The first one is ZL5 020 - a 1932 photo. So Irene had a stack of loose photos and some negatives and she put them in the album to keep from going stir-crazy the summer of 1943 while waiting for Don to be born! Some photos of Allen are included as early as 1937. Clearly these are photos from Dad and not taken by Irene. The photos are attached using black, white and clear corners as well as two sided tape. Most pages use several of these methods. An explanation of the multiple attachments is that they were first attached with 2 sided tape and then when the tape failed they were put in with corners. I did find several with corners that also has tape on the back. I did take all of the photos out of the album to look for the informatin on backs of photos. Used tape to put them back in. At some point Allen Ljung labeled some of the photos after Irene had put them in. Note the first photo of Dad when he knew Irene appears to be a 1940 photo. Finally the end of the album is used up by Dad putting in photos of all his cars from 1916 to 2002 In this album I scannd virtually all photos, but not all. Don't worry, nothing that explains the Ljung history was left out! Maybe 10 - 15 (many out of focus) photos of mostly unidentifiable people or places. 1921 is earleist photo.
